Who we are

Data Controller: Cooking Sherpa, based in London, United Kingdom. We are building an AI-powered cooking companion for UK home cooks.

What data we collect

When you join our waitlist or complete our survey, we collect:

Your email address
Survey responses (price preference, cooking pain points, grocery stores, household size, feature requests)
UTM parameters (how you found us)
Referrer URL (the page you came from)

Why we collect it

We use your data for:

Managing the waitlist and notifying you when Cooking Sherpa launches
Understanding what to build based on survey responses
Sending you email updates about Cooking Sherpa (product news only, never spam)

Legal basis

We process your data based on your consent. You voluntarily signed up to the waitlist and chose to complete the survey. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

Where your data is stored

Supabase (EU region) — stores your email, survey responses, and signup metadata
Resend — handles email delivery for our welcome email

We do not transfer your data outside of the UK/EU except where our processors (listed above) operate under adequate safeguards.

How long we keep it

We retain your data until you request deletion, or until we no longer need it for the purposes described above.

Cookies

We do not use cookies. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, nothing. We use Vercel Web Analytics which is cookieless and privacy-friendly.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
Correction — ask us to update or correct your data
Deletion — ask us to delete your data entirely
Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
Withdraw consent — stop us processing your data at any time

Third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.
